“Upazila Resource Center” is an institution under the Department of Primary Education.
Location: Adjacent to No. 19 Kachuakathi Government Primary School.

Work: Providing training and orientation for skill development of upazila level teachers, primary education related officers and SMC members, organizing seminars, providing information, providing facilities related to equipment, and assisting teachers in preparing and storing educational materials. In addition, to fulfill departmental assigned responsibilities and organize social motivational meetings based on demand.
The aim of the Upazila/Thana Resource Center: Develop the in-service professional skills of primary school teachers by providing academic support and organizing continuous training.
Objectives of Upazila/Thana Resource Center: 
1. Development of professional skills of primary school teachers; 
2. Improvement of teaching-learning process in schools and classrooms; 
3. Establishment of teacher support network in schools; 
4. Introduction of formative (continuous) assessment in teaching-learning;
5. Improving the quality of learning for primary school students; 
6. Assessing the training needs of primary school teachers; 
7. Implementing short-term training; 
8. Introducing teacher training evaluation;
9. Arrange for refresher/refresher training; 
10. Develop sub-cluster training system for teachers; 
11. Establish teachers' data bank; 
12. Strengthen school management committees and teacher-parent associations; 
13. Social mobilization.
